About the program
Ages 9–14 · Year-round commitment
JFC's competitive program through our Mississippi Rush affiliation. Elite coaching. Proven development. Professional coach training 2× per week, league play, 8–10 tournaments per year, and ECNL / ECNL-RL league pathways at U13+.
Players age out of the U9–U14 competitive program at U15, at which point they move into Mississippi Rush United (Stage 4 of the Player Pathway).
JFC offers need-based scholarships for competitive players. Applications are due by July 20 for the August–May seasonal year. Don't let cost be the reason your child doesn't try out.
Common questions
If you're trying out with us for the first time.
No. If you can't make one of the first two weeknight sessions, email us and let us know your plan. No need to contact us if you're coming to one of the first two.
Use the age matrix above to find your child's group. Coaches will suggest if a player should move up — please register for the standard age group first.
Roster size depends on age and format — 9v9 teams carry 13–14 players, 11v11 teams carry 16–18. Not every tryout participant is selected, but JFC is committed to every player having a place to play. See our Rec programs.
That's fine. Tryouts are open to anyone — no commitment to switch unless your child is offered a roster spot and you accept.
