Rec-Plus will open online thru the registration system beginning November 1, 2024 and will close on the first day of training, Monday February 3 at 1:00pm for U8-U10 players born in 2015-2017. Players must be registered JFC recreational players in order to participate in the Rec-Plus program (formerly Division 2).
REC-PLUS PROGRAM
(Formerly D2/Division 2)
The JFC Rec-Plus program is offered to players who seek a level of soccer between recreational and competitive. Teams are formed (at the 8U, 9U and 10U age groups) through a 6 week training process both in the Fall and Spring seasons. Players on teams that are formed in the Fall don't necessarily stay together in the Spring. Players and teams can be added in the Spring. To be considered for a Rec-Plus team the player must be a registered recreational player at JFC.
The primary focus of rec-plus training is to offer age appropriate training as well as introducing these young players to the challenging world of competitive soccer. It also acts as a gateway into the JFC competitive program if interested thru MS Rush Jackson. JFC’s philosophy is one of playing to learn, having fun and minimizing the intense pressure to win. This philosophy transcends into every training session and match. The Rec-Plus coaching staff is specially selected and trained to provide this introduction to competitive soccer in an environment conducive to learning and having fun!

Challenging training sessions conducted by the JFC coaching staff are the key ingredient in the personal development of the players. Training activities are devised to help each player improve technically (skills), tactically (decision-making), physically (fitness) and psychologically (mental toughness). JFC’s Rec-Plus program focuses on the complete development of each player. Through guided discovery teaching methods, the JFC Rec-Plus staff challenges each player to creatively solve problems that only the game itself can provide.
